IIT Gandhinagar invites applications for one Junior / Senior Research Fellow (JRF/SRF) for research and development work in DST sponsored project in the area of “Chemical Synthesis of Peptides.”
Designation: Junior / Senior Research Fellow (JRF/SRF)
Project Title: Disulfide-rich peptides as scaffold for the development of tau protein aggregation inhibitors in Alzheimer Disease
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry with a valid NET qualification or M. Pharm in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Process Chemistry or Natural Products. For SRF, above qualifications with 2-years of research experience.
Also, candidates should have an excellent academic record throughout. Previous experience in the field of peptide synthesis, purification and characterization is highly desirable.
Duration: The appointment will be limited to one year which can be extended by additional six months based on the progress of the research work.
Emoluments: Consolidated Rs. 25,000/- (for JRF) or 28,000 (for SRF) and medical benefits as per the Institute norms.
