IIT Gandhinagar Recruitment for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Post 2017
Applications are invited for the position of “Junior Research Fellow” to work on public health research conducted at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. The details of the research and the aforementioned position are as follows:

Research project: Development of Cardiovascular Disease and Diabetes Risk Assessment model for Diverse Ethnic Indian Population

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow

Consolidated Monthly Pay: 25,000 Rupees per month plus HRA as per revised DST guidelines.

Qualification and Experience: See below
Essential: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course. A master’s degree in public health/health management/hospital administration/information technology/other relevant area is preferred. Fluency in Hindi and English is required.
Preferred: A post graduate degree in health-related discipline with experience in: use of technology to collect field-based data; working with healthcare providers; working with patients of diabetes or cardiovascular disease or any other chronic condition; household survey data collection; working with large datasets; familiarity with using data management software; conducting statistical analysis of epidemiological data using STATA or similar software; and writing research proposals. Fluency in Gujarati and/or any other Indian language would be a great strength.

Terms: Appointment is for six months.
